Hospital Sketches Block 4

I loved my first block in Barbara Brackman's Hospital Sketches quilt-along and I have my second block done, but I don't like it at all, so no pictures from it. I'm planning to re-do it, but I don't know yet how to change it.

I skipped the third block because I tried to keep up with the quilt-long and finished my fourth block almost in time before the fifth was published. I love this block Cockscombs & Currants allmost as much as the first one. But I really hope there is no more tiny circles in the future blocks.

  1. Oh my.... lots of pretty tiny circles! They do make the block so darn pretty though. I am not doing this QAL but... I do love the pineapple block that is out now. Looking forward to seeing what colors you choose for it.

    1. Thank you! It will be suprise for me too. I choose my colours as I sew them. In this block I thought dark green was too overhelming and then added reverse applique. It wasn't planned at all ;)

  2. Gorgeous block! I opted not to do as many circles, but yours are really lovely!

    1. Thank you! I had never before done so many tiny circles and probably never again. But I like them a lot.

  3. Your coxcomb and currants block is gorgeous and you did a great job with your circles! They do get easier and faster the more you do, and there are things you can do to streamline the process. They LOOK amazing and your efforts were definitely worth it!

    1. Thank you Rebecca! Circles were easier indeed after first 20, but there were so many of them and I don't think I have ever made so tiny ones...
