Japanese Quilt Blocks Part 2

I've done some more japanese blocks from Susan Briscoe's book. I love linen as fabric, but sometimes it' not easy to sew. It strech too easily and cutting straight easier said than done.
These blocks are called Ni mochiai kadotate igeta and are number 23 in Susan's book.
As previously I tried two different settings for blocks.

I'm not sure what to do with my japanese blocks. Maybe a sampler quilt or somekind medallion quilt.

  1. I was interested to read about your Japanese blocks, you are using some lovely fabrics and colours. I like the second lay out but the first lay out leads to some lovely embroidery or quilting in the space. Cheers Glenda.

  2. Thank you Glenda for your nice comment. There is many more blocks in Susan Briscoe's book: Japanese taupe quilt blocks and I have started my third set of blocks. So I have no clue what kind of quilt it's going to be or when ;) Riikka
