Dear Janes

I started sewing those little "Dear Jane" blocks in summer 2009 and I loved doing them.
Then came time when I started another quilt and another. Last week I found my shoebox full of
5" blocks and noticed only ten squares missing. Made four and now only six left.

I haven't decided yet do I want those triangles or not. I don't like templates or freeze paper. Most of my blocks are made without them.

When I found these fabrics by Fabric Traditions I thought of my brother-in-law.
Then I was searching the right pattern.
This is how it turned out.

While my sewing machine has been broken, I've done knitting, crocheting, hand applique and these
baby's shoes made from felt. Must say I  enjoyed making little birds and only few evenings and those were done.

Combination of our red irish setter, my DD and a ball broke my sewing machine.
So I started a hand applique baby quilt project.

The Sampler I started while living in Ireland for couple of years.
It's handpieced and handquilted.
